Jacob Gleason (Tenor Sax from Groovincible) worked with Christopher Gabriel Nelson to make the horn chart for “Sextoy Sextoy” and it was performed by Chris Hall on Baritone Sax, and Aaron Smith & Justin Au (from Element Brass Band) on Trumpet at Ace of Spades.

Groovincible Nominated for a 2015 SAMMIE!


We are happy to announce that Groovincible has been nominated for a SAMMIE AWARD (for the second time) by the readers of SN&R! Thanks y’all!

Groovincible is honored to be listed among the finest bands in sac like Ideateam, Sunmonks, Bellygunner, and many more!

We don’t actively campaign for nominations so it means SOOO MUCH to us that you guys chose us to represent Sacramento for BEST FUNK.

We’re doing our best to continue putting out great music that we believe in! We’re going into Pus Cavern Recording on February 25th to mix our new tracks and we’re dropping the first one at the ZuhG CD release party at Harlows Restaurant & Night Club on March 14th!

Rumors are that members of Groovincible will be re-uniting with their former bandmates to perform some old ZuhG tunes, so don’t miss out!!

Groovincible is opening for ZuhG‘s CD Release Party!

We’ll be releasing our newest single, “Tryin Hard” for FREE digital download! Our set will feature special guests including Dean Haakenson of Be Brave Bold Robot rapping about how he met his girlfriend on the internet. This is one you don’t wanna miss!

This is ZuhG and Groovincible’s first Sacramento club show TOGETHER playing full sets and there is a high probability of cross-band mingling, since members of the two groups have a long history making music together… Keep your ears peeled!

Confirmed for Cosmic Family Gathering 2014!


The weekend of August 8th, 9th, & 10th at Nugget River Park in Placerville, CA!

We are really happy to announce that Groovincible will be performing at the Cosmic Family Gathering on Sunday afternoon at around 4pm. Also playing on the bill that evening is (the ineffable) Mike Dillon Band! Mike Dillon is a punk-rock vibraphonist from New Orleans that has performed with Critters Buggin and Les Claypool. The music is heavy, harmonically complex, statistically dense, and has a little dash of Tom Waits flavoring in the mix. You don’t want to miss this show kids, it’s guaranteed to rock your socks off.
